About Us

If you look at statistics, one in every four women that you know has probably been a victim of domestic abuse. I have personally seen the devastating effects it has on the lives of people around me and their families.    

Over a decade ago, I encountered an organization  that provides resources to survivors of domestic violence, giving them a safe place to stay and the opportunity to gain skills to support themselves and their children, and rebuild their lives. Since then, I have dreamed of bringing this type of organization to East Tennessee to help combat the effects of domestic violence and empower survivors by providing resources to enable them to build new lives and lift others up.  

For years, I toyed with different ideas for the type of business that would be the right fit in Knoxville to serve survivors and enhance the community, but could never come up with a plan that was quite right.  

One day I had the urge to cook some fresh pasta for lunch, so I began looking for a place to purchase locally made fresh pasta in Knoxville. When I couldn’t find any to buy, I began making my own pasta, and then it came to me... Pasta! With that revelation, Pastabilities!™ was born.  

Our mission is not only to provide fresh, delicious, premium pasta, but to also provide employment opportunities for domestic violence survivors so they can heal, learn, and prosper.  To ensure that we give back to this community,  a portion of the proceeds from the sale of our pasta is donated to support local nonprofit organizations that support survivors.
